Through the use of 35mm film, discussions with many friends and family members, reading book after book, and article after article, I am a self-taught, natural light, photo junkie. I use mother nature, my eye, and of course, my Nikon, to capture each moment just as it is. It is so easy in today’s ever-changing technological world to store thousands of photos on a single card. What happened to capturing an image with only 27 chances?

I prefer to take photos in the candid atmosphere rather than posing people; a picture means more to me than “cheese.” I enjoy following my clients around and snapping pictures of them as they are. However, through research, experience, and just being rather crafty in general, I have a collection of fun poses that we can incorporate and am open to any suggestions during shooting — this helps me to identify with the photo shoot.

As life keeps on, I find myself becoming more and more interested in the beauty of photography. A picture can say so much and bring one back to a moment past or arouse an emotional response. I have always loved looking through others photographs and hearing the stories behind them. Therefore, the work I create is priced at a reasonable cost and I promise to always send you home with quality photography, and probably a few laughs.

If you want your baby posed in a studio with angel wings, I am not the photographer for you. If you want a portrait done in a studio with flashy lights and lots of retouching, I am not the photographer for you. The world is my studio; in the woods, at the beach, in the city, in a setting that is comfortable to you, a natural photo, a true moment caught in time. If this is what you desire, then I am the right photographer for you.  Also, I have a solid selection of props that can be brought outside (fun for theme photoshoots).

Pricing

Pricing of each photo shoot is contingent on the needs of each client and the location of the shoot. What I mean by “needs” is that some people may want to change outfits, some may not, or some weddings would like 300 pictures and some only want 50. I have no set fees and discuss pricing with clients on an individual basis. I promise to be reasonable and I can definitely say that I am not a $2,000 wedding photographer.
